Having lost the previous Sunday's racing with no wind the contrast this Sunday could not have been greater with a really solid 20 to 30 knot warm westerly - huge fun. Sadly there is not much to relate about the racing since three boats: Just Acquaholix, Voador and Fay J were OCS. Certainly on board Fay J it never entered our thoughts that we were OCS, we were more concerned about being late for the line with jib furling and unfurling issues - all very strange. On the race course Journeymaker (Chris Jones) sailed an impeccable race to beat Jolene (Ivan Trotman) by a considerable margin. After four races of the series, with a mid series break this coming weekend, there is everything to play for with one point separating the first three boats: Fay J, Voador and Journeymaker. |
